Application Deadlines

As of 2009 to 2013 we are consolidating grant applications into two cycles from the former three cycles (January, April and September).
Proposals must be RECEIVED (not posted) by email AND regular mail on or before 5:00PM on the dates above to:

Format
Please use the Delaware Valley Grantmakers Common Application Form. Please complete the DVG Cover Summary, narrative and budget.
Submission
Please apply:
1. Electronically, by sending your DVG Common Application Form: Cover Summary, Proposal Narrative, and Sample Budget Form AS ONE attachment in Word to info@uba1831.org. (IRS Certification, Audit, and Financial Statements can be sent through regular mail. See below.)
And, AS WELL, please also send one HARDCOPY of the proposal by
2. Regular mail: please ALSO send the above materials, as well, by regular mail, by sending your DVG Common Application Form: Cover Summary, Proposal Narrative, Staff, Board, and Sample Budget Form, plus attachments (IRS Certification, Audit, and Financial Statements) to UBA, 1616 Walnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
On the DVG Cover Sheet Question 9, please describe how you work with or engage volunteers.
Eligibility
The Association makes grants only to non-profit organizations recognized under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code:
- The Association does not make grants to individuals
- The Association makes grants only to organizations that work with people in need within the city of Philadelphia
- The Association does not make grants to support capital renovations
- The Association will only fund an organization for three years (not necessarily consecutive) out of five
- After that, the organization is again eligible for renewed funding
Preference is given to organizations with budgets of 2 million and below, and which leverage the use of volunteers. On the DVG Cover Sheet Question 9 (see below), please describe how you work with or engage volunteers.
